A Full Persian Chain Maille Bracelet for Sarah

By on Saturday, September 11, 2010 5 Comments

Sarah who is still a teenager, is fascinated with chain maille. She had previously made a Byzantine bracelet for her mother. At another of her mother's beading parties, she was game to try another weave. So she learned how to do the Full Persian.

This particular weave is not difficult to do once you get past the start. If you wish to learn, then check out my past tutorial post which includes my first video tutorial.

Sarah did a great job. She also said that this second time round, she was able to focus on closing the rings properly. This new bracelet of Sarah's was definitely for herself, not Mum!

  1. Sarah - what a beautiful bracelet! You will be the only one in your class with something like this.

  2. Yep it's amazing alright. I have only poked a toe into it and plan on trying some of the more difficult weaves soon. If Sarah loves it already she should keep it up - looks like she's a natural!

  3. YAY for Sarah! Beautiful bracelet! Chainmaille can be really addictive and Full Persian is a great weave.

  4. Sarah did an excellent job on her bracelet and it is sure to be one of her prized and favorite pieces. I've looked at tutorials explaining how to do this pattern and always find myself lost and perplexed by what ring goes where and when, so I certainly have high admiration for what Sarah has accomplished.
