St. Patrick's Day is not an official holiday but they might as well make it one. In recent years, it has become the single best day for pub owners across North America with some reporting 2-3 times the business generated on New Year's eve.


It seems ironic this boozy day honors the patron saint of Ireland who lived some 1600 years ago and who dedicated his life to his religion. It is indeed a solemn commemoration for Irish churches but the day is also about celebrating all things Irish.
