Those single use coffee capsules ensure an easy but good cup of java in the morning. However, they aren't very environmentally friendly.  Unless you recycle them!  Here are 3 great tutorials which use the Nespresso coffee capsules which come in a variety of colors.  If you didn't know what they were, you'd think these were designer pieces!

Craft and Fun, an Italian blog has some wonderfully creative uses of the capsules.  This necklace tutorial also uses purple ones but with their centers cut out.  They used a very neat plastic tube - magnetic closure.



They also took just the rim of the coffee capsules and made them into rosettes!


Once you have rosettes, then you can make other pieces of jewelry such as these rosette earrings!



Environmentally friendly jewelry is not for everyone.  If you are inclined to try, make sure you come up with designs which not only look good but it's not obvious what they are made from.
