This beaded wolf earrings tutorial posted by Karina Turchin over on Biserok.org certainly caught my eye for a couple of reasons!  The design is based on a leaf.  What's more, the brick stitching is done on the vertical so you weave first one side and then the other.

You can easily follow the chart so I do not think you need any text.  The earrings were done using 10/0 beads. If you are good at designing, you could try tweaking the design for other dog breeds or even other furry animals.

I find it hard to believe there are so many dog breeds today! Nobody knows just why but dogs are far more variable than size, shape etc than any other mammal. Most of the breeds were developed in the last few centuries although dogs were domesticated 14,000 to 17,000 years ago.

According to scientific research based on DNA, all dogs today are descended from just a single domestication event when someone tamed a wolf or two.  So whenever I see a little Chihuahua, I have to remember there is a wolf somewhere in there!!
