I previously wrote about Alana Fire's amazing wire statement necklace tutorial where this Russian artist shared the key steps. She also has a pretty wire wrapped bird pendant tutorial which is far less complicated! Like many wire artists, she uses a sketched design to help guide her wire work process.


A single bead just adds enough color to this simple design to make it pop!

Notice how she hammers flat some portions of the design.  Doing this adds an extra element to the design as well as helps harden the wire.  Wire wrapping is not just a decorative addition but one which holds the design together.
