Heart themed jewelry abound as Valentine's Day approaches. But the kind Crafted By My Heart (link no longer works) make are generated from real heartbeats! Romantics can have their heartbeats 3D printed in gold, silver or black silver and gift them to their loved ones.
I downloaded the free app and found it very easy to use. Placing my forefinger over the camera and flash area allows the software to detect my heartbeats via the subtle color changes as blood flows in the finger.
The intensity and rhythm plus a new algorithm applied to the individual heartbeat pattern each time ensures every ring is one of a kind.
Even the ring sizing is done via the app!
The unique ring rendering is then 3D printed into a wax model which "is molded and finally coated with the material of your choice". Watch the video to see the process from start to finish.

DeleteMy brother and I were just talking about what could be done with 3d printed jewelry. Combined with the app this is a brilliant idea!
