Use Narrow Cuff Blanks to Make Hair Bun Jewelry

By on Friday, June 30, 2017 1 Comments

I love this cool idea of using narrow cuff blanks to make hair bun jewelry! It will suit those who like to have their hair up especially in the warmer weather. The tutorial is by Allison Cooling who also writes on The Quiet Lion.  You use glue to attach the feathers and jewelry component.  Allison also adds some beaded charms!

There are ready made cuff blanks like those the designer used but you can also buy flat metal bands and then bend it into shape yourself. It is cheaper doing the latter as you can buy packs of blanks. Be sure to file smooth the edges. Stamp any design you want before you bend the blank into shape!

One good tool to bend cuff blanks into shape is the Bracelet Bending Bar which you lever each end into shape. See how it works here:

  1. What a great idea!

Just wish I had enough hair so I could make one - or many - for myself...
