Another Recycled Bra Underwire Jewelry Tutorial!

By on Thursday, October 05, 2017 3 Comments

It has been quite a while since I wrote about a designer who uses unwanted bra underwires for her jewelry designs (and tutorial).  Maya Kuzman, a crochet designer whom I have featured before detested underwires so she removes them and repurposes them in to something far more comfortable to wear!

She said, " Back in 2011 I met two wires which led a sad, dull and secluded life, confined to the silky walls of a lace brassiere. They always dreamed of having a more fulfilled life, one full with excitement and the joys of the fashion world, but alas! They weren't destined for anything bigger and it wasn't until I heard their desperate whisper that I decided to use my seam reaper and let them free.... and the rest is history."

Her tutorial shows how she covers them and joins two together. Fun and colorful!

  2. This has certainly opened up my eyes to the endless possibilities using bra wires. I had no idea!

Artists are always on the lookout for items that can be repurposed and this tutorial certainly covers that.

Now to search through my old bras to decide which ones are making the wire sacrifice
