Not everyone likes rings with stones which sit high. And not everyone wants or are able to make bezel rings. So this lovely tutorial by Lily -Tree is worth trying. Doesn't it have a medieval look about it?

The instructor uses 16 G and 26 G wire if you are wondering what the metric measurements mean. The foundation consists of 2 identical round rings made with the 16 G wire. These are soldered together. Note it is easier to do if you by solder paste with the flux incorporated like this item.

She assumes you know what pickling is as she does not show that step. Pickling is the part where you put the just torched pieces into dilute acid solution to clean up the fire scale after torching. She also dips her solder pieces into a borax solution to help with the torching.  You don't have to use it.
