Make A Glamorous Wire Wrapped Rhinestone Necklace

By on Saturday, June 16, 2012 1 Comments

Honking big clear and colored rhinestones are just so much fun for jewelry making.  I've covered some wonderful inspirations in the past, so here is one more.

Cathy over at Trinkets in Bloom shared an easy and gorgeous wire wrapped bib necklace tutorial. As you can see, the result is colorful and does a wonderful job of brightening up a casual outfit. But it will look just as fabulous with a plain dress for the evening.

She glued the rhinestones onto a plastic canvas base before adding the wiring. But you could also make a wire frame out of thick wire to use as an alternative foundation. You'll have to adapt the wiring overlay accordingly.
