How to Make Adorable Beaded Sheep Tutorial

By on Sunday, February 07, 2016 2 Comments

I've covered a number of beaded creatures before, but surely this Preciosa-Ornela tutorial for beaded sheep is one of the most adorable!  The designer is Helena Chmelikova.  The tutorial will need a careful read before any work begins just so you understand how the sheep is constructed.  I love how the beaded wire legs allows the sheep to stand or lie down.

You can certainly make a whole flock of them!  I wonder if the pattern can be adapted to make smaller lambs with more prominent ears?  As you know lambs are one of the symbols of Easter.

If you are also a fan (like me) of the British clay stop motion animation movies such as Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run, then you've probably seen Shaun the Sheep! They are fun movies with many sly references to other movies and popular culture.

  1. How absolutely adorable are these!!!!!

I do love anything sheep related. I've got enough stuffed sheep around here it's a wonder them and the owls don't have issues with each other! Adding some beaded ones would certainly make the owls jealous I'm thinking!

  2. They look so alive, amazing!I've always admired people who come up with beading patterns - in my mind, this kind of work is related to lots of calculations and patience :)
