FeelingsofLove's $40 Giveaway for Metal Stamped Jewelry

By on Monday, August 15, 2016 37 Comments

Have you ever tried stamping on metal?  Then you'll know it takes A LOT of practice to get perfect stamped jewelry.  One person who does metal stamped jewelry very well is Toronto based Karen Field, the artisan behind FeelingsofLove on Etsy.  She makes all kinds of personalized jewelry. She  is also the creative soul behind Clayfuffles which celebrates her polymer clay work.

Mom Necklace
Her personalized designs include stamped names and initials.  Those which feature the birthstone colors of  family members do add lovely touches of color to her silver designs.  But what really caught my eye were her stamped special phrases such as "You are my sunshine", "Failure is not an option", "Cancer free" and "God gave me you" - all of which make wonderful gifts for special ones. She didn't neglect furbabies either!

"You are My Sunshine"
Karen said she has been creative all her life, starting in her childhood. But she worked in advertising when she grew up.  She explained how making jewelry became her full time job:  "After many years of working, I started experiencing a lot of health issues and to make a very long story short, in the end, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis! Are you kidding me!! I was shocked to say the least but decided that I was not going to step aside and lay down and let this disease take over. So in 1996 I had to stop working and decided instead of giving in to the MS, I turned my love of jewelry in to my own home based business! That's when my Feelings of Love was born!"  An inspirational story indeed!

"Failure is Not an Option"
Karen works very hard at her business. She has great incentives.  You can get 20% off just by signing up to her newsletter.  And if you join her new Feelings of Love VIP Club, you get 30% off instantly! One lucky winner of this giveaway will receive a $40 gift certificate to spend in her store.

"Family Tree"
She also realized the value of good photography for her online market. I first "met" Karen when she attended my How to Photograph Jewelry Webinar last year.  Silver jewelry is notoriously difficult to photograph -  she knew she had to do better with her Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

She very quickly applied what she learned and the improvement was dramatic as you can see in the before and after pictures. She took the webinar again earlier this year to refresh her knowledge. She has since developed a gorgeous photographic style all of her own which she likes and which suits her brand.

"God Gave Me You"
"Cancer Free"

I know I don't try very hard with my photography at present because I'm not selling online at all but I also know my photos have improved after taking your course.

Karen's designs are absolutely lovely. Her style is minimalist and that is incredibly effective.
Well done Karen for refusing to give in! You sound like a woman I could relate to.

  20. I "dabble" in stamping, but I am never as straight or creative as she is. She has an inspiring story and something good came out of hard time. We should all be so blessed. The saying of "God game me you" is what I have been saying to my husband for 26 years and it's our little saying and I would love to be able to win the certificate to get it.

  24. What I love about creating jewelry is that you get immersed in the project. This is particularly important when you have a chronic health condition. When you get so involved in your project, you don't dwell on it! For a while, you get a blissful break from your issue! It feels good to get away from it, and it sure beats any therapy! This giveaway would be quite a prize for the lucky winner.
