Charlotte certainly knew what she liked. Definitely the colour purple as this is the first of two all purple necklaces she designed. She also preferred the look of long glass or metal tubes.

She decided to bead with purple bugle beads for most of her necklace. She also created an elongated pendant from a pewter bead and an additional cigar-shaped glass bead. This focal area was further emphasised with flat square dark purple glass beads with seed beads in between.

Even though the design colour was predominantly purple, there were good contrasts - skinny little bugles with angular shapes, very dark purple with lighter purples and glass with metal. The choice of a long bead for the pendant also balanced the long look of the tiny bugles. A pretty design overall and one that Charlotte is bound to wear again and again.
