A co-worker of Debbie's (Widget's Beads) was fortunate enough to go to China. She brought back a pair of earrings which were probably bought in a bazaar of sorts. Debbie really loved the original red jade beads but little else. The earrings had some uninspiring glass chips and all the beads were suspended on fishing lines tied to the ear wire!! We kid you not.
So what Debbie did was an earring makeover. She got rid of the glass chips and the fishing line naturally. Then she added small faceted crystal and vintage brass findings which really did justice to the red jade beads. They were worth the rescue job for this colour is one of Debbie's favourites.
