Wire work is always popular although some struggle with it. It takes practice and perhaps some great jewelry projects to try or to be inspired by. The editors of Jewelry Making Daily chose some really pretty designs for their latest free eBook - Learn to Make Wire Jewelry: Designs for Making Wire Jewelry with 5 Wire Jewelry Making Techniques.
The techniques vary from wire wrapping, coiling to chain maille - a captive weave method. So there is something for every one.
The 5 projects were previously published in the Step-by-Step Wire Jewelry Magazine. It's an excellent publication, one which I myself subscribe to (and they didn't pay me to say this!). If you don't and are a wire work fan, then this eBook is for you.

Great blog - I love these wire projects.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting Pearl!! So many designs to try, and so little time!
ReplyDeleteNo one who reads this blog is ever short of inspiration, right?
ReplyDeleteThis is truly a great blog. I have one of my own I just started in which I try to encourage others to try jewelry making and design. I love the tutorials and will certainly mention this blog on my next post. I hope you will give me a visit http://cathy-letstalkjewelrydesign.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteWhy thanks for the thumbs up, Cathy! I'm just off to check your blog out. Pearl
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the post, Pearl!
ReplyDeleteI just finished a necklace with wirework in it (something new for me) ... it was fun but I definitely need more practice. I also need to a tutorial that teaches to relax (and breathe!) when that wire is in my hands!
As they say, practice makes perfect. The more you do, the more confident you'll get with wire. Pearl
ReplyDeleteI will have to check this out, thanks for the ideas. I have been doing quite a bit of intricate work lately with toughened thread and the possibilities are endless. Like wirework, practice does make perfect.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I got my ebook and now for some serious wire twisting.
ReplyDeletei love them. -- annie
