You'd think most of us have enough beads to open a shop! But judging from the great response to last week's giveaway, there is definitely no such thing as too many beads.
Deci put it quite succinctly, "Help, help..I need more beads!" Ashley added she could always make room for more even if her beading area is already bursting at the seams!
Thanks for all the sweet comments about my designs - the Swarovski Flower Vase pendant garnered the most mentions. I chuckled though when Susanna asked where the heck I got a tanned model in Nova Scotia in January! Well, "she" never ever loses her tan, works weekends and for free because "she" is a body mannequin (more about "her" in a future post)!
Imagine my delight when Katrina Peebles said she was the sister of THE Karla Schafer in the Auntie's Beads videos. She had stumbled upon my blog looking for recycled jewelry inspirations. Right after Karla herself posted a comment. She no longer works for Auntie's Beads and misses doing the videos. But both sisters have a new venture. Their ecofashionistas website is not quite ready yet but soon they will be offering their upcycled designs.
Some of you are happy fans of Auntie's Beads and their videos. Now one luck person is about to join their ranks with a wonderful chance to spend $50 worth at their super store. I counted up all the entries and consulted random.org which pulled out this winner - April! Congratulations! I am sure you are going to enjoy choosing some gorgeous supplies from them!

ReplyDeleteWait, what me? I won? Oh my goodness! I'm so excited! I'm just getting started in beading and the only supplies I have are the generic ones you get at Michaels. I can't wait to create a stash!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
Congrats, April! It's a short slippery slope to bead addiction! Could you please email me asap so I can forward you the gift certificate code?

Yea April, congratulations on your win! Have fun browsing a fantastic bead site and try not to spend too much over the $50 gift certificate. Yes, I know, that's a hard thing to do. :)
