One excellent way to increase the design possibilities is to find new uses for findings.
Take Ornamentea's Flared Bead Cap earrings video tutorial for example. It uses large bead caps like chandelier findings. Chains hang from the ends of the bead caps forming a very unusual and clever earring design.
The tools and materials listing are here. You do need a metal hole punch to create the extra holes at the ends of the flared sections.
Another approach is to combine bead caps with different findings. Shown here is a pendant I made for my friend Debbie where I wired a bead cap and a metal wreath together and embellished with pretty pink crystals.
Inspired? Have fun playing with your beads!
