I usually toss the round lids from frozen bake-it-yourself pastry or cookie dough into recycling. But that's because I hadn't realized you could turn them into great pendants as Julia of Every Day Mom Ideas did. One of these lids makes a good size pendant.
Her tutorial is doubly useful as she shows us through her previous tutorial how to make easy silhouette images. I also recommend you use a needle file to smooth any rough edges after you create the hole for the jump ring with either a drill and especially if you use a nail and hammer.
