I do love to crochet. Nothing elaborate but something to do on car journeys. Yarn is a lot easier to work with than beads in a moving car! So if you like to crochet little things, check out these two tutorials.
The first tutorial is by Ukrainian artisan Svitlana who has an Etsy shop called Boorashka. It is in Russian but it is easy enough to do if you can crochet a round. She actually made it concave. Love how she used almonds to fill the folded up shape. I loved her green variation which included beads and a tatted border.
The pineapple earrings tutorial by Alexandra over at Craftster is very pretty. It does require some crochet experience though.
Nothing like using up scrap yarn and threads! But if you prefer wire or can only knit, check out the links below.

Crochet can be very relaxing - especially if the pattern is simple and repetitious...I've been known to doze off while crocheting. :D
ReplyDeleteLove the pineapple crochet earrings - the pineapple shape holds a special place in my heart as it is a symbol of hospitality and welcome.
Love these ideas. I used a translating program for the Russian tutorial.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that about the pineapple, cool!
