Sigh. I shall miss the butterflies now that winter is coming. Fortunately for us, it will only be less than a year before we see these pretty insects again. Until then, we can make butterfly jewelry. The latest butterfly tutorial find is by Maegan over on her blog, LoveMaegan.
She loves fashion and is talented at making things. Her inspiration for her awesome leather butterfly jewelry tutorial came from the Lanvin Fall 2013 Collection which she spotted in a magazine. Some of the models were wearing large metallic beetles but there was one outfit which was literally covered with sewn on butterflies, beetles and bats made from huge beads and leather.
Her tutorial is just for a brooch. What I liked is her way of slipping large hair bobbins through the brooch pin backing. Just lovely hair jewelry!
