We humans are a superstitious lot! Evil eye jewelry and talismans to ward off bad luck are still around even after centuries. Artisans can purchase eye beads for their designs. But you could also make your own from glass cabochons!
The video tutorial is by Aniko Kolesnikova. She made them specifically for her amazing 3D polymer clay art journals which often features animals. Check out her blog for more.
She called them animal eyes. But if you make the pupils round and smaller, they could look like human eyes too! Set one of these in a bezel that fits the cabochon and you will have an easy evil eye pendant! Or do some fancy wire work to hold it!
Here are some examples of how varied human eyes can be in terms of the iris colors.
