She provided both the written tutorial as well as an awesome video.
I recommend sticking to the 2 mm cord she uses.It`s not wrong to use a thinner cord but it will look less substantial unless you use more than 4 lengths. This design is easily customizable using different cord colors and different focal beads.
It might also take some practice to get even knots especially since these are loosely created. One tip if you are still struggling with this is to work on paper. Sketch in the loop size and use that to compare and get consistent loops.
