I don't know about you but I for one very rarely listen to any CD music anymore. Most of the music I hear is now on my iPhone! So if you have a stack of CDs you no longer want or need, recycle them! This clever recycled CD Fairy Wing Earrings tutorial is by Tenshi.
She demonstrates how she delaminates the CD by bending a section of it to and fro for a while. She uses only one layer - the pretty one! She uses nail art polish to outline the wing. An alternative is dimensional paint which I think is easier to apply using the nozzle of the bottle instead of the long bristles of a typical nail polish bottle.
Embellishing with a bit of glue, glitter and some flat back crystals and you're done.
This will make a great gift for the young at heart and as a project for tweens and older kids.
