Some motifs are perennial favorites. It is not easy to do so, but this clever beaded earrings tutorial manages to capture the historic royal French symbol, the fleur-de-lis. It is by Iulia Postică of the Beaded Treasury.

OMG! I have so many of those dagger beads (red, black, blue, tan)and they kept being moved from this place, that place, and the other because I couldn't think of anything to do with them (that I liked)! Not only can I now these earrings (that I like!), but I have all the materials on hand! I know what a couple of my female friends are getting for Christmas! No, it's not too early to start! :D
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you can use up dagger beads. They are one of the more underrated bead types in the bead world. Enjoy! I agree it is never too early to start on Christmas projects
DeleteThe Fleur de Lis is everywhere in New Orleans. After Katrina they considered it their symbol of hope and renewal and they certainly do it proud!
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't surprise me! Good for them!!
