Polymer clay is such a fun medium to use. You can certainly make distinctive and unusual jewelry with it. I particularly loved this musical polymer clay earrings tutorial by Italian artist, Mo Clay, for two reasons.
Firstly, you can customize to the opening bars of a favorite piece of music. Secondly, it is such an easy transfer technique which uses just a permanent marker pen and an embossing heat gun!
One assumes she shaped the earrings immediately after she removes the strips from the oven. And dunks them in cold water to set the shape?
