Dorothea Hodge is a lifelong crafter having learned how to crochet when she was 4. She discovered beadweaving back in the 1970's. So she has two clear loves!
Her Etsy store shows quite a range - such as her crochet hot air balloon ornaments which are adapted from one her grandmother made for her over 40 years ago. Also in the crochet line are her popular button on towels and pullover bibs.
Dorothea also offers a large collection of whimsical beaded earrings. Many of them feature different breeds of dogs as well other animals and popular themes like cars, motorcycles, musical instruments and so on.

These beaded creations are, however, not designed by Dorothea herself but are by Linda Hampton who
sells the patterns on Beadintrigue. Under the terms of pattern sales, Dorothea is allowed to sell completed projects so long as she cites the original designer, which she does.

Beading is not for everyone. All those small little beads can be off putting even for seasoned crafters! So the next best thing is for someone like Dorothea who does beautiful bead work to make projects for you and in the colors you want!
