I've always thought 3 mm Swarovski bicones are a little too small. But now I know they are not! Especially if you use them to make glamorous beaded pave stud earrings! This tutorial is by Sapphirus. It also features a neat tip - suspending a metal component on the ear stud back with small jump rings.
The bead work nearly covers an 8 mm bead. The exposed side is where you glue on the stud finding. Be sure to get the ones with a shallow cup so it fits better on the foundation bead.
The captions in the tutorial are not in English but it is easy enough to follow. Fortunately this instructor used black thread which makes it far more visible.

I wonder what took us so long to come up with the dangle at the back of the ear? I love it!
