Fun Square Frame Crochet Earrings Tutorial | Possibilities for Wire Work?

There are many pretty yarn crochet earrings tutorials out there. But this tutorial by Italian designer, Loprovoio, caught my eye. It is not only because it is an square frame - geometric shapes are always fun.  There are also many possibilities to really up the design quotient.  I don't mean just changing the color of the thread.

One could add beads to the middle of the frame or even at the open corners. But best of all, the possibility of making this earrings using wire is there! It will require some modicum of neatness.
