I've never really found memory wire for rings all that useful until I saw Mylene's (of Mill Lane Studio) tutorial! The scraps she used for her chandelier loops means they are not wasted. The little stars are a nice touch and are perfect for the Christmas season.
Mylene points out that you can also use regular wire for the design. However, the benefit of using memory wire is that it will easily retain its shape. You will have to work harden regular wire by hammering to make sure it does do so.
I previously reviewed her inspiring 12 Days of Christmas Earrings book.

Cute!
ReplyDeleteNice idea! I've also used a similar technique with memory wire for rings to make charm necklaces. I put the charms on the wire much as she does the beads in her tutorial.
ReplyDelete(I don't really like ring memory wire for rings, though!)
