Wire Woven Gemstone Pendant Tutorial Using a Top Drilled Bead

Do you always need a gemstone cabochon to do a wire work pendant?  Nope.  Check out this lovely wire wrapped gemstone pendant tutorial by Oxanacrafts which uses a top drilled bead. Unlike traditional wire wrapped pendants, she uses the wire woven foundation wires as a frame for the gemstone bead. Note how she uses a round copper bead at the bottom to set a distance from the bead.

If you've ever wanted to make sharp points as seen at the bottom of her pendant, then you've got to watch the tutorial and see how she creates it.  This point looks even better if you hammer it flat.

Also observe how she deals with the wire that goes through the bead - she connects the ends at the back which will help stabilize the bead so it doesn't spin.
