Metallic Gemstone Jewelry by Metalicious

By on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 12 Comments

Not long ago, a reader emailed to ask if I could direct her to the Etsy metal smith who made metal jewelry resembling gemstones. She thought I might have written about this designer but I hadn't. Fortunately, she remembered the name of the store. So thank you, Jessie for the tip on Metalicious!

New York based Stephanie became a metal smith quite by accident. She was trying to sign up for some creative classes but the pottery class she was interested in was closed. Luckily for her, the only class still open was the metal smith one. As they say, the rest is history. The jewelry featured here are from her Modern Rock collection. They are just gorgeous complete with facets inspired by cut gemstones.

  9. This is such an amazing idea. I especially love that working exclusively in metals reduces on some of the incredible strain that harvesting gemstones has on our earth. Very cool, very counter-culture.
