One of the first bead weaving stitches I learned was the spiral rope. It is easy to do yet looks "complicated"!  I've linked to spiral rope tutorials before (see below) but here are some variations which will surely please those of you who like this stitch.

If you are totally unfamiliar with spiral rope, first check out this great video tutorial by Beadaholique for the spiral rope. What's different about it is there is no clasp. But you do have to make sure it will fit before "zipping" up both ends.

Short on time? Then check out Anna Fjellborg's fast spiral rope technique on her blog AIF Jewelry. She says it saves more than half the time. It is one of those ideas where you slap your hand on your forehead and wonder why you didn't think of it first.

If you like V rather than round shapes, then check out Ruby's tutorial on how to get that turn right.

Alicia Shems designed this plaited style double spiral necklace tutorial for Bead and Button magazine. This one is just lovely because she allowed for longer loops at the front of the necklace.
