Gorgeous Beadwork Jewelry Tutorials by GoBeadYourselfCreate

It's never enough to write about great bead artists once.  Portuguese bead artist, Eva Dias, of GoBeadYourselfCreate is just such a designer.  I wrote about her work before here.  But she has even more gorgeous designs since then. Here are my latest favorites from her pattern/tutorial collection.

She has a knack of picking rich colors like the gold beads to highlight many of her pieces.  I love the shells and pearl bracelet and earrings designs. Notice the way she placed the pearls on the curved shell earrings?

Contemporary Beaded Bracelet Tutorial Uses Long Bugle Beads

I had to look closely before I realized that this contemporary bracelet was not made from metal but from 11/0 seed beads and 3 and 30 mm bugle beads!  The easy to stitch tutorial is by Japanese beader, Sapphirus.  This is probably my favorite design in the tennis bracelet style. Simple, yet stunning.

Spectacular Memory Wire Bracelet Tutorial

It is not what you use, but how you use it that counts.  That holds so true for Mylene Hillam's spectacular memory wire bracelet tutorial. The technique is very easy as it is just stringing and using pliers to make loops at both ends of the memory wire.  But what this Australian designer did is to place a large focal collection of beads in the center.  The whole bracelet appears to be a cuff but isn't!

Beaded Kumihimo Bracelet Tutorial has a Nifty Button and Loop Closure

Long time readers might well remember my tutorial for a flat kumihimo bracelet which featured a button closure.  I integrated the button hole in the design. But Christina of CSL Designs has a different approach she made a button loop separately.  Her tutorial is also essentially a flat design but accomplished on both a round disk (for the button loop and a square plate for the rest of the bracelet. The square kumihimo plate works well for making flat bracelets.

Wire Crochet (ISK) Gemstone Bracelet Tutorial | Comparison with True Wire Knitting

A reader recently asked me if there was a tutorial for the knitted wire and bead bracelet I made many years ago (see last photo in this post).  But I do not. The experience knitting wire with 1 mm steel needles just made me grit my teeth!  And I never repeated it. Since then, I discovered Yael Falk's  (Yoola Design) looms and wire crochet method.  Her alternative name for the technique is invisible spool knitting (ISK) because the wire comes off a spool and the result looks like knitting.

Pru McRae is a kumihimo jewelry designer with some great tips! There is an easy solution if you are braiding with bigger beads like very round 6/0 and don't like the hollow area formed inside.
