Patchwork Quilt Inspired Square Stitch Bracelet Tutorial

By on Thursday, July 14, 2016 1 Comments

Did you like the bargello spiral polymer clay earrings tutorial I featured yesterday? Here is yet another wonderful example of one craft inspiring another!  This time Mortira Vanpelt of Inspirational Beading got her inspiration from patchwork quilts! Her square stitch bracelet tutorial is so colorful!

As Mortira says, square stitch is an alternative to using a beading loom.  While it takes longer with this off loom technique, you don't have to deal with all the warp threads as you do with a loom.

I think it would be fun to see if you could up with different patchwork patterns.  Check out some quilt patterns to see if any get your creative juices going!

You're AWESOME! Thanks for the comment and feedback. You do make a difference on my blog!

  1. I've tried to do this when making a memory wire bracelet. It was a bit tricky getting the coils to line up the way I wanted them to but it was worth the effort and sold the day I put it out!
