Wire Braided Earrings and Bracelet Tutorial

By on Saturday, October 01, 2016 2 Comments

Wire braiding is a little trickier than when you work with softer materials like yarn.  But the results are well worth the effort. So check out this wire braided jewelry tutorial by the presenters, Cynthia and Jennie, over on the Art Beads Cafe.

The project details can be found here.

Some people use a vice to hold the wire ends which makes it easier to start the braiding process.  You could also use bull dog clips perhaps?  Anything to make the beginning more manageable and not make you feel like you need an extra pair of hands.

Smaller projects like earrings and bracelets are also suitable as you will not be using very long wire lengths. There is the risk of wire bending when they are very long.  Having said that, you might love the challenge of working with long wires so check out the first tutorial below.
