Deidry loves bold colours and shows how successfully a design can be with colours that most beaders would not put together. The strong pink of the oval mother-of-pearl (MOP) shell beads had clear crystal beads on either side. Deidry wisely kept the size of the teal beads small so that they better compliment the MOP beads.

MOP beads are now dyed in so many colours and varied shapes that I cannot get enough of them myself. The iridescent shimmer to the surface of these beads is what makes them special.
