I don't know who was more excited, Susie or I, over the final design of this pretty pair of chandelier earrings.
Susie started the design off by first choosing the delicate gold-tone filigree chandelier findings. She used various turquoise coloured beads to liven up her design. I particularly liked her choice of the larger faceted topaz coloured crystal rondelles for they not only picked up on the colour of the filigree but added focal interest to the dangles.
There were no ear wires nor wire to exactly match the filigree so Susie "had" to go with sterling silver. Beaders sometimes prefer everything to match but opposites can work too. Think about silver and gold designs for watches and bathroom faucets! The silver here became another design element to this sterling design!
