Vintage Jewelry
Part 3 of 3
Being what they are, vintage jewelry is a limited commodity. So the next best thing for jewelry designers is to use vintage-style findings - brass that has been treated to get that antique look.
But when one is presented with the vintage style brass findings and beads, the first question has to be " What goes with "old" brass ?" Sometimes frosted glass beads fit the bill.
But Ashley did not choose frosted for her necklace and bracelet set. She used red cigar shaped beads and mixed it with flat square millefiore with a subdued yellow background brightened with red accents. Ashley also added white seed beads which tied in with the round shell pendant. The real red pressed flower on the shell was the prettiest touch to this creation.
