Layering earrings with different types of components not only adds depth but character and texture to the design. Cathy had to work a little on this creation. Initially, she had the copper leaves right in front of the green tags which practically obscured the latter. But with the addition of short pieces of chains, the leaves now dangled lower and didn't block the green tags much.
How's that for a refreshingly different design?

Layering is a wonderful technique indeed, I use it very often when I'm making my pendants. I love to add danglie things too.
