Robin really liked the look of some chained earrings she saw in a magazine but she didn't want hers to look the same. What she did was add just one round goldstone bead to one end of the chain. On the other she had a little dangle with some copper and bronze seeds as contrast.

Talk about a misleading name! Goldstone is really not gold nor is it a stone. It is actually manmade glass with copper flecks in it. The sparkly lustre probably explains why it is sold amongst the real gemstones.

The coppery colour seen in Robin's earrings is the most popular shade. I also have very dark blue goldstone and Debbie (Widget's Beads) who co-instructs with me at workshops has the deep forest green variety.
