Not long ago, a reader emailed to ask if I could direct her to the Etsy metal smith who made metal jewelry resembling gemstones. She thought I might have written about this designer but I hadn't. Fortunately, she remembered the name of the store. So thank you, Jessie for the tip on Metalicious!
New York based Stephanie became a metal smith quite by accident. She was trying to sign up for some creative classes but the pottery class she was interested in was closed. Luckily for her, the only class still open was the metal smith one. As they say, the rest is history. The jewelry featured here are from her Modern Rock collection. They are just gorgeous complete with facets inspired by cut gemstones.

I adore Metalicious' modern rock collection too. She makes such beautiful things!
ReplyDeleteThis is such an amazing idea. I especially love that working exclusively in metals reduces on some of the incredible strain that harvesting gemstones has on our earth. Very cool, very counter-culture.
ReplyDeleteThat's an excellent thought, LotusStone! I didn't consider that myself.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are just beautiful. Thanks again for a really cool site.
