It's mid-summer holidays. School is still a long way off. So if your kids are tired of playing outdoors and are getting underfoot, you've got to introduce them to this fabulous shrink plastic tutorial on how to make a dinosaur necklace! This necklace is so much fun, I don't think it should be exclusively for kids!

The Cut Out and Keep project is by Cat Morley who made it for a friend. It is a great alternative to spending hundreds of dollars on a Tatty Devine T-Rex necklace.  You first find a suitable dinosaur picture you like and trace it out. Some planning is required to divide the image up and to determine where the linking holes should be.

Don't have any shrink plastic?  But plenty of leftover little plastic dinosaurs lying around?  Paper n Stitch got a 20 from a yard sale for - wait for it - 25 cents for the whole bunch!  Her faux gold dino necklace tutorial is so good, the piece looks like a real gold one! Definitely a conversation piece.
