We often tell beginner beaders there are usually no hard and fast rules when designing jewelry .
Odette at one of Debbie's (my friend and co-instructor) beading parties put together this eclectic necklace using a variety of beads with different finishes including silver foil and millefiore.
Odette clearly loves greens which she complimented with a touch of yellow and plenty of brown beads towards the clasp ends.
It may be eclectic in some ways but there is a sense of placement and color in how she strung the beads together. The end result? Something she really likes and will wear.
Beader design #: 634

I like it! I like her use of different shapes and colors. Comes together really well!
ReplyDeleteI really like this one.
ReplyDeleteI like these colors together - reminds me of nature.
ReplyDeleteThis really is a creative and simple project because you can choose the metals you’d like to mix (try silver and brass, for example) and pair them with some of your most unusual beads, or just some of those beads that have been sitting in your stash for a while just begging to be chosen....
