Erica is a budding jewelry maker who simply adores gemstones. She has a great eye for them. She brought a strand of gorgeous tourmaline gemstones to a workshop. She then used the rondelle cut beads with copper beads and clasp from Debbie (Widget Beads) collection to great effect in the following necklace design. The copper really does compliment the rich multi-colored hues of tourmaline.
Erica also created this pretty pearl bracelet. The pale color of the pearls and silver findings were contrasted with maroon window beads. Notice she chose a magnetic clasp - that's a good solution to the pesky problem of trying to put on and take off bracelets one-handed!

They are both lovely! And tourmaline is, hands down, my favorite - so many gorgeous shades - love it!
ReplyDeleteWow - for a budding jewlery maker you have good taste in beads (tourmaline is fabulous). I love it with the copper, good choice for findings. I think copper looks good on everyone.
ReplyDeleteNice necklace and bracelet!
May I have a link to Widget Beads please?
ReplyDeleteA Google search gave me lots of widgets but no beads!
The necklace is beautiful.
Thank you.
Alas my friend and co-instructor, Debbie, does not have a web presence so I cannot provide a link.
ReplyDeleteBoth beautiful pieces. My wife would just love the pearl, that is amazing work.
