Cool Tools
Part 1 of 2
Don`t you just hate trying to put on a bracelet in the morning? You probably haven't had coffee yet so the caffeine hasn't kicked in. The end of the bracelet keeps slipping away from you. Frustrating.
There are solutions - bracelet fastening tools. While there are some commercial ones you can buy, here is one great DIY version.
Judy Markwell over at the Beading Emporium came up with a simple tool you can make for yourself using an alligator clip, a chopstick and a bit of wire! Neat! Chopsticks come in pairs so there is another you can make for a gift.
You can also decorate the chopsticks like those on in my past post, Beaded Wire Wrapped Flatware Inspirations.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea and will decrease a lot of frustration
ReplyDeleteNeat! Hadn't thought of making one of those with a chopstick. Very clever!
ReplyDeleteI really should make one for myself as I think my hubby gets annoyed every time I come to him and ask; "Honey, will you fasten this for me?" Sometimes he has trouble with his big fingers trying to grasp those tiny little springring clasps. :)
ReplyDeleteWhere there is a will ...
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. I always have a problem with my bracelet slipping just as I almost have it hooks. I usually have to get my hubby's help, but when he's not there sometimes it's a struggle. I am going to have to make me one of these tools. Thanks for sharing.
