It was rather sad to see the final film over the summer. The books as well as the 10-year-long Harry Potter theatrical series were family favorites.
So I was delighted when I came across a simple but great tutorial on how to make a wire work golden snitch necklace. The necklace would be perfect for a Harry Potter fan on your gift list.
The designer is Instructables' prolific Artist-in- Residence, Kentucky-based Jessy Ellenberger who goes as jessyratfink.
If wire work is so not your thing, you can buy it at Jessy's Etsy store. It's the only design she sells!
Now for a flash back! Check out this film scene of Harry Potter (a very young Daniel Radcliffe) catching the golden snitch in a Quidditch match.

I've read all the books and just rented the first part of the final movie from the library. I'm very sad to see it end! New Harry Potter books were something I always looked forward to.
ReplyDeleteThat necklace is adorable. :)
The first part of HP VII sets you up for the climatic and exciting final part. I must say I enjoyed all the movies as the productions stayed reasonably faithful to all the books. The 4th movie is my favorite where they had to attend the ball.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very charming necklace and I bet it is a smash hit with the Harry Potter fans.
ReplyDeleteI've read a few of the books and have seen a couple of the movies but like with everything lately, I've gotten behind and need to catch up.
I read all the books a long time ago so by the time I saw the final movie, I had forgotten some of the details!
