Bead work designs often use lovely buttons as clasps. But I recently came across a clever idea for wire workers. Lori over at the Pretty Things blog shared her method of making a wired button clasp.
She made a hook clasp and embellished it with a small bead and wire work. She then created the wrapped loop for the shanked button. The bracelet end is also attached to the button. Hop over to her blog and see for yourself!
Simple but brilliant! The sort of idea that most of us would go, "Why didn't I think of that?"

Lori has such a creative mind, she truly amazes me! I can't begin to count the times where I had to redo a loop and button clasp because I either had 1 or 2 beads not enough on the loop (and it was a fight to get it over the button) or there were 1 or 2 too many and the button kept slipping out of the loop. This solves that dilemma and it give a totally different look to a button closure.
