Elle was turning 8 and she really wanted to have a jewelry making party for her friends. So Debbie and I went over to help her mother organize one for her. It was a blast! The girls had time not only to make memory wire bracelets but also some other crafts. They were busy little bees!
The girls had loads of beads to choose from and they did not take too long to complete bracelets for themselves. Children this age aren't afraid to pick what they like. As we have often observed, kids are far more confident about making things. They just do it unlike some adults who tend to second guess themselves. Children never ask "Do you think this looks okay?" . They are more apt to say "Look what I did!"
It was certainly a fun afternoon and here are some of the creations.

This is a great party idea for little girls! Simple, Fun and creative... what could be better than that!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun. I bet they really enjoyed that. I know my 8 year old grand daughter would. She would always want to make jewelry when she came to stay with me. I even made her up her own jewelry box full of beads. Now she lives to far away and I don't get to see her or any of my grand kids much )-;
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Aww, that's too bad. Perhaps you can still send her little bead kits!
ReplyDeleteYes she would enjoy that. I did make all the grandkids a mini chalk board (except the baby) with there names on them. Pink for the girls and green for my grandson. Little burlap bags attached to hold chalk and a eraser. They enjoyed that.
ReplyDeleteOh that is a great idea for a kid's party! Don't think my grandpuppy would go for it but you never know what might happen in the future!
