Mother's Day is just a month away.  Stumped for ideas?  How about pretty bead and wire bouquet brooches?  It will brighten up a coat, a handbag or even a hat!  I really like this idea because these are flowers which won't wilt!

One absolutely beautiful tutorial is the layered floral locket pendant brooch "Remembering Mimi" designed by Robin Delargy over at LooLoo's Box.  It is a tribute to her beloved maternal grandmother and the piece is thus for her mother.  The locket component holds pictures.  The design can also be worn as a necklace as Robin used a brooch finding with an in-built bail.

The above tutorial requires riveting. If you cannot rivet, consider the  tutorial by Marion Simmons over at Shade Tree Studio's blog. She used pre-wired bead components.  If you don't have these then wire some beads together.  For example, tiny side drilled drops can be gathered together to make a flower.  Attach the brooch to a bail so it can be worn as a necklace.
