I first came across Marilyn Gardiner when I stumbled upon her free chain maille making tutorials on her site and shared some on my blog. After I moved to Ontario, Marilyn was one of the first people to welcome me to the Grand River Bead Society which I had joined.
Marilyn and her husband Brad are the driving force behind their innovative chain maille kits and jump ring supply business. A retired teacher and a machinist respectively, their adventure after their conventional jobs ended capitalizes on their interests and strengths. Marilyn loves making jewelry from beads and jump rings and she is married to a man who can make quality jump rings!
They travel to shows in both Canada and the US. Marilyn also teaches at these places as well as in some shops and privately.
Shown here are some of my favorites from Marilyn's extensive range of chain maille jewelry kits where you get everything you need for each project. These kits are available in different kinds of metals - argentium silver, sterling silver, sterling silver filled, jeweler's bronze (looks like gold but without the price tag), copper and enameled copper.
Marilyn teaches to all skill levels which is reflected in the different kits she has available.

Chain Maille is my "go to" jewelry making preference. I find that some days are too busy to be "creative" with my beads and chain maille has a structure that works with the right size rings and can be relaxing to make the patterns over and over again. I'd love to win this one.

ReplyDeleteThese modern designs are sure to blend with modern fashion trends.
